Q: Special/favorite moment of your day?
A: Our first look – our bridal party was finishing up getting ready, so it ended up just being our photographers/videographers who witnessed our intimate first look
Q: Favorite Moment of Day?
A: My favorite moment of the day took place after the ceremony, while the guests were heading towards cocktail hour, Dylan and I had a moment to ourselves in peace and quiet that we got to just take everything in and embrace each other. We both may have shed a tear or two.
Q: Best memory of day?
A: Seeing our guest flood the dance floor as soon as the first dancing song came on!
Q: Wedding Theme
A: Black, white, and gold with touches of deep red/wine color
Q: Why you chose the dress you picked?
A: I loved the beading detail – just the right amount of sparkle- and it was the perfect combination of a fitted dress and the poofiness of a princess dress at the bottom.
Q: A few sentences about your wedding?
A: Every part of our wedding had a purpose or significance to Dylan and I as a couple. Our wedding date was the 17thof January and just so happens to be our 8 ½ year dating anniversary to the day, our officiant my youth pastor growing up and Dylan’s MMA trainer growing up, our guest book was a sign that will be hung in our house, Dylans grandmother was our flower girl and my grandfather was our ring bearer, we had a choreographed first dance to an acoustic version on “Is this love” by bob marley because we were engaged in Jamaica, our unity ritual was a wine box ceremony where we placed a bottle of wine, signed by our bridal party the night of the rehearsal dinner, and sealed notes to each other into a box and it will not be re-opened until our 5 year anniversary, where we will read the notes and enjoy the wine together, replenish, and do again on our 10 year and so on….The list goes on, but all of these special touches made our wedding day extra memorable.
Q: How did you and your groom meet?
A: We met through our mutual friend and groomsman, Nate. After meeting Dylan, he put his cell phone number in my phone under the name “You’re Beautiful” so that any time he called or texted me, it was a reminder of how beautiful I was….the rest is history haha!
Q: How did your groom propose?
A: We had a trip planned to Jamaica with our friends/bridal party members Jake and Taylor in November 2018. Dylan had lined up a professional photographer at the resort to take photos and proposed to me while the photos were being taken!
Q: Advice to bride planning her wedding.
A: Don’t over think it! It’s hard not to get all wrapped up in all of the little details, but the most important part is celebrating your love with all your closest family and friends. You will be surrounded with so much love on your special day that nothing else will matter!
